"Life is like baseball no matter what gets thrown to you, you have to be ready to hit it out of the park." - Joshua Lucero Reflection: This statement is saying not matter what life throws to you as in if it's something good or bad you have to be ready no matter what and swing. Especially if it's something good like if they told you you have to do a job interview you have to be ready for it and make sure you swing and hit that out the park and do a fantastic job. You might sometimes miss the pitches but every chance you have to hit make the most of it and give it everything you got no matter what.

"Obedience is central to becoming, being, and remaining happy." -David Bednar Reflection: This quote is very true, if you choose the right you will always stay happy because you know you are doing right in life. If you don't do anything bad and stuff you're not supposed to then you always feel good. No matter what it is you will feel at peace with yourself and you will always feel good both physically and mentally with in yourself.
"What you are as a person is far more important than what you are as a basketball player." -John Wooden Reflection: This quote is true because no matter if you're a player doesn't mean that you're a good person. You maybe very good at a sport but you have a bad attitude which isn't good. It's more important to be a good person rather than a bad one. Some examples of a good person are that you're always honest and you always do the right thing even if it doesn't feel right, being positive always, being kind and thoughtful to others and not being selfish, you always work hard at what you want. Some examples of a bad person are doing drugs or drinking, being irresponsible and disrespectful, always being negative and never thinking positive, being uncooperative and just being hateful and mean. you need to choose the right always no matter what. being a better person is more important than being good at a sport.
" True wealth is of the heart, not of the purse. " Pathros Patriarch of Antioch & All the East, 1846 - '94 Reflection: This quote is very true no matter how much money you have true wealth is from the heart. Touchings someone's heart is more valuable than money. Let's say that you a lot of money and you give money but you're mean to them that isn't as valuable as not having money but being nice to them and talking to them and just being there for them and seeing that you make a difference in their life. Just a smile is worth more than the money. Making someone's day and touching their heart will also make you happy through your day and that is a very awesome feeling, it indescribable. "You cannot do wrong and feel right, It is impossible." -Ezra T. Benson Reflection: I believe that this statement/quote is true because when you do wrong you can feel it in your stomach and that feeling is guilt. It is very impossible to feel good after you have done bad no matter how small it is. If you steal something like candy from a store and you manage to get away you feel guilty because you didn't pay for it and you know that it wasn't the right thing basically that is choosing the wrong and that isn't something to be proud of at all. You have to choose the right and by choosing the right, if you want candy do chores at home for $5 and then go to the store and you can get the candy you wanted. You personally will feel good mentally and physically because you know you chose the right.
This quote by Abraham Lincoln is true because when you do good you feel good. For example, if you study for a test and ace it you personally feel really good because you know you worked hard for it and you earned it. When you do bad that's another story, what if you cheat on the test and manage to get away with cheating, you won't feel good and you'll feel guilty the entire day. You will not feel good and to do the good thing if you cheat is to tell the person that you cheated and at first you'll feel bad because you're ashamed but you'll will feel good that you finally did the wrong thing at the end of the day and you'll remind yourself to never do that again and actually study like a CTR student. "The key to freedom is obedience. The more obedient we are, the more freedom we have." I agree with this because if you choose to follow and choose the right always, you can do what you want. For example if you go somewhere with your friends and you parents tell you to be home at a specific time and you get home on time and not past the time, your parents might let you go out the next day so you will have privileges to do stuff. If you decide to disobey then you might get grounded. Then you won't be able to go outside to hang out with your friends.
